NW Indiana House Raffle – Win A FREE Home!

The 17th Annual Northwest Indiana House Raffle will be held again this year on June 4th, with a one-day-only sale of discounted tickets. The Grand Prize awarded will be a choice of $225,000 or one of seven brand new homes, located right here in Lake County! Feel free to visit www.nwihouseraffle.org for a complete list of the homes and their locations. Tickets will be available for purchase from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the kick-off celebration event at the Southlake Area YMCA. According to the event organizers, tickets that day will be $120 each, which is $30 off the regular price.

Winning tickets will be drawn at 10 a.m. on July 29th at the Marian Education Center in Crown Point, located at 1201 S. Main St.

Proceeds of this year’s raffle will benefit the St. Jude House, a shelter for women and children and the Southlake and Hammond YMCA, which were recently merged as Crossroads YMCA. Last year a total of 4,410 tickets were sold, with the Grand Prize going to Ruth Jaron, 87, and her good friend Jim Dorris. There were also 74 other cash prizes that were awarded including, a second prize of $25,000, a third prize of $5,000 and a fourth prize of $2,500. Additional smaller cash prizes ranged from $175 to $1,000.

Organizers said that last year, ticket sales for this charitable event jumped by more than 400 at the one-day-only sale of discounted tickets, which resulted in more than 2,000 tickets sold in a single day! Information packets are currently being mailed to previous Northwest Indiana House Raffle ticket buyers.
