MAY DAY! Art Show Kicks Off At Mellow Brew In Dyer May 1st

The NW Indiana Artists Support Group is holding their first members’ show on May 1st! Paul Benninghoff, the group’s facilitator, Abbie Cashman and Dawn Diamantopoulos have organized MAY DAY! at the Mellow Brew Cheesecake House, 1060 Joliet Street, Dyer. The show will run from April 18 through May 13, with a May 1st artist reception.

The actual May Day theme is open to individual artist’s interpretation, meaning the array of work on display will interestingly diverse. Eight members of the group are participating in the show bringing a total of 20 individual pieces.

We are considering this a Starving Artists Show, and all artwork is being priced at $50 or less, in the hope of encouraging sales. — Dawn Diamantopoulos

The reception is free and open to the public and will feature the music of Red Light Runner, a really fantastic local band.
