Crown Point Health And Fitness: A Review

Today I’m going to talk about the Crown Point Health And Fitness Center at 1516 North Main Street. I have been a member of the health club there for a little over a year combined and I have to say, it’s unmatched in the area. Now I know I am biased, being a Crown Point resident and all, I am always looking to support local businesses, but seriously, this place is first class and top notch no matter where you come from.

Let me tell you why I like CP Health And Fitness Center.

Plenty Of Cardio Equipment

Have you ever worked out at, or been a member of a health club that just didn’t have enough treadmills? Isn’t it annoying when the one elliptical in the entire place is being used by a guy who is on minute #3 of a 45 minute session? I won’t name the gym, but I was a member of such a place not long ago and I quit going there because I got tired of waiting in line to get my cardio done.

I assure you, however, that this doesn’t happen over at CP Health and Fitness. There are plenty of treadmills, bikes (4 kinds of bikes), elipticals, stair machines, and rowing machines and I have never had to wait, even at the busiest hours. They have 4 televisions in the room too, so you’ll never miss your morning Oprah, or Sunday afternoon NASCAR race.

In addition, everything is kept clean and in good working order. I don’t recall ever seeing an “equipment out of order” sign on anything there now that I think about it.

Well Stocked Weight Room

Now I’m no bodybuilder (I do have nice guns !), but I do like to lift 3 times a week. And when I do, I want the machines to be up-to-date and clean. At CP Sports, it’s all top of the line and well maintained. The Hammer Strength equipment is in very new condition and works well with plenty of weights around to stack on. There are some scattered Cybex machines and Nautilus too, all organized in sections based no what muscles they work. Of course, there are lots of traditional pre-stacked dumbells and other free weights, as well as some modern ab machines. For the ladies (my wife is also a member) there are the hips, buns and thighs machines too. I am surely leaving something out, so be sure to get a good look at the weight room when you take a free tour.

Cleanliness

Ok, so this one is big for me because I am somewhat of a germ-o-phobe. The equipment is clean, the locker rooms are clean, the different workout rooms are clean,… ok, the place is clean and that’s huge, but there’s more to it. You ever work out at a gym that just kinda smells funky? I have and it’s just uncool to say the least. But it’s not like that over at CPHF, nope, it is clean and it smells clean and I’m good with that. You can call me “nuts” if you want, but I like my health club to be clean, and smell clean. :)

There are tons and tons of other good things about Crown Point Health And Fitness but I want to end this by bringing to light how great the staff is over there. All of the good things I mentioned above would mean nothing if it weren’t for the great folks that work to keep CP Sports running the way it does. The staff are the icing on the cake and they make all the difference!

If I could change one thing about CP Health And Fitness it would be only that I wish I had more time to workout during the week! If I did, I just might have that 32 inch waste back sooner rather than later! Go take a tour over there, and tell them Allyn sent you from Around Crown Point Online. I’ll see you on the StairMaster!
